    MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES

The Millionaires continued their winning ways with back-to-back road wins over the La Ronge Ice Hawks on Nov. 7-8 (4-1 and 6-3).

Daniel Hope set up five goals during the two-game set to give him eight goals and 18 helpers in 19 games to lead the Mills offensively.

With two goals and five assists in a four-game stretch between Oct. 28 to Nov. 8, Logan Herauf upped his yearly totals to nine goals and 12 assists to put him right behind teammates Levi Lind (10g, 14a) and Kale Dolinski (9g, 13a).

Goalie Travis Bosch has an impressive 11-2-2 record to go with a 2.35 goals against average and a .930 save percentage, while his back-up Riley Hengen won four of his first five games.

    WEYBURN RED WINGS

After playing their first 13 games of the season on the road, the Red Wings returned to their home at the newly revamped Crescent Point Place on Oct. 17.

In their first seven home games, the Wings compiled a 6-1 record, which included a 7-2 drubbing of the Kindersley Klippers on Dec. 7, followed by a 5-4 win over the Battlefords North Stars the next night.

Preston Shupe led the way offensively for the Wings with 13 goals and 14 assists though 23 games, while Torrey Lindsay (8g, 19a) also had 27 points. Right behind them was Rhett Bly (10g, 16a) and Brayden Nargang (11g, 8a).

Goalie Tanner Erickson won his first eight games in the Weyburn net, while his counterpart A.J. Whiffen had a 7-8 record.

    KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS

The Klippers more than survived a stretch of four games in four nights between Nov. 4-8 with a 3-1 record, which started with a 3-2 win over Notre Dame at home and ended with a 5-3 road win over the Hounds.

Through 19 games, Brett Leedahl led the Klippers with 15 goals and 18 assists, while teammate Kirk Pearce was right behind him with one less goal. Jordan Braid also had a strong start to his season with nine goals and 22 helpers.

Ryan Nieszner has received the bulk of the work in net and has responded with an 8-1-2 record to go with a 3.21 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

    YORKTON TERRIERS

After losing 3-2 to the Flin Flon Bombers on Nov. 7, the Terriers rebounded the next night with a 4-3 win to salvage their two-game set in northern Manitoba.

Defenceman Greg Coburn had a goal and an assist against the Bombers to increase his team-leading totals to seven goals and 15 assists through 23 games. Meanwhile, left winger Derek Serdachny set up four goals in Flin Flon to give him six goals and 14 assists, which is just one more helper than teammate Cody Zubko.

Meanwhile, Torey Stott had a team-leading 10 goals to go with seven helpers.

In goal, Devin Peters had a 4-1-2 record to go with a 2.88 GAA and a .908 save percentage, while Jordan Barry was looking to improve on his 5-5-2 record.

    ESTEVAN BRUINS

Allias Kalinsky paid immediate dividends for the Bruins after being acquired from the AJHL’s Drayton Valley Thunder for defenceman Jorden MacSwain on Nov. 5.

In his first game as a Bruin, Kalinsky scored twice and was named first star as the Bruins thumped the Battlefords North Stars 6-1 at home on Nov. 9.

Through 23 games, Chad Filteau paced the Estevan scoring attack with nine goals and 19 assists, while Kyle Stroh led the squad in goals with 12 to go with 10 helpers.

Goalie Tommy Legault recorded five of the Bruins nine wins, while Brett Willows had the other four.

    NOTRE DAME HOUNDS

With four losses in their first five games in November, the Hounds were looking forward to the return of leading scorers Rylan and Jaden Schwartz.

Before leaving to compete with the Canada West squad at the 2008 World Junior A Challenge in Camrose, Alta., Rylan had put up 14 goals and 18 assists through 16 games, while his younger brother Jaden tallied 11 goals and 16 assists in his first 16 SJHL contests.

In the absence of the Schwartz brothers, Kyle Ireland did his best to take over the offensive load and upped his totals to 13 goals and 13 assists through 24 games.

Meanwhile Travis Janke (11g, 13a) notched four goals and four helpers in the first five games of November to pick up the slack.

Veteran 20-year-old netminder Mark Currie had an 8-8 record as of Nov. 9 and was looking to improve upon his 4.22 GAA and .886 save percentage.
